Best IOS18.2 Features
IOS18.2 Features
Apple released new updates:
– IOS18.2 Features for iPhone
– iPadOS 18.2 for iPad
– macOS Sequoia 15.2 for Mac
These updates make devices smarter and easier. One of the biggest changes is something called Apple Intelligence. This is a new system that helps your device understand and do more using on-device AI (artificial intelligence). It helps you do daily tasks, be creative, and get work done more quickly and easily.
But don’t worry if your device doesn’t support Apple Intelligence — you can still enjoy many new features.
These updates still bring lots of new features for all iPhone, iPad, and Mac users—not just the ones with newer models.
- Some of the cool new tools include:
- Genmoji: Create your own emojis.
- Image Playground: Make fun images using AI.
- Image Wand: Turn drawings into art.
There are also smarter volume controls, and improvements to apps like Safari, Podcasts, Mail, and Voice Memos.
We’ll explore the best new features that can make your Apple device even better. These features work on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. They’re really cool!
Expanded Apple Intelligence
The new Apple updates make Apple Intelligence work in more places worldwide.
Before, you could only use it if your device was using the U.S. English as the language. But now, it supports more types of English, including:
- English (Australia)
- English (Canada)
- English (Ireland)
English (New Zealand)
English (South Africa)
English (United Kingdom)
So now, more people can use Apple Intelligence in their local version of English.
Visual Intelligence
If you have an iPhone 16 with a Camera Control button, the new iOS 18.2 update gives you a cool new feature called Visual Intelligence.
Just press and hold the Camera Control button, take a picture of something like a restaurant, painting, or flyer, and your phone will try to tell you more about it using Apple Intelligence.
If Apple Intelligence doesn’t know the answer, you can also ask ChatGPT or Google right from your phone.
ChatGPT
If Apple Intelligence can’t help you, you can now use ChatGPT with iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, or macOS Sequoia 15.2 on a supported device.
You can use ChatGPT in:
- Writing Tools (to help write or fix text)
- Visual Intelligence (on iPhone 16 models only)
- Siri (to ask questions and get help)
ChatGPT can help you write things, make pictures, and answer your questions.
You can use it for free, or sign in to a ChatGPT account if you like.
- A free account gives you basic access (about the same as no account).
- A Plus account gives you even better tools and access to ChatGPT’s most powerful features.
Image Playground
- Image Playground is a brand-new app from Apple for iPhone, iPad, and Mac (only on devices that support Apple Intelligence). You can also use it inside Messages to quickly make pictures during a chat, and in Freeform for creative projects.
- With Image Playground, you can easily make fun drawings and cool art using your device’s smart features—no art skills needed!
- Just type a description or pick from ready-made ideas (you can even add your friends’ faces), and Image Playground will create 3D-style artwork or illustrations for you, all using Apple Intelligence right on your device.
Genmoji
Genmoji lets you create custom emojis. You can change their style, color, and effects. These emojis work like regular ones in apps. You need:
– iPhone with IOS18.2 Features
– iPad with IOS18.2 Features
– Mac will get it with macOS 15.2
Even with older updates, you can still use and save Genmojis. If someone with a non-Apple device sees your Genmoji, it’ll appear as a regular picture.
Image Wand
It’s part of the Image Playground family and helps you quickly turn simple drawings into better-looking images for your notes.
Draw something using your finger or Apple Pencil.
Then, circle your drawing with the Image Wand tool. It will turn your rough sketch into a clean, high-quality picture.
You can also circle an empty space, and Image Wand will read the nearby text and create a picture that matches what you’re writing about.
You can pick how the image looks—choose from:
- Animation
- Illustration
- Sketch
